Description

One of the lightest, strongest mountaineering tents on the market just got even lighter and beefed up Nylon on fly on base.

The Fury 2-person mountaineering tent offers unmatched double-wall strength and reliability. Its small footprint allows it to be pitched with minimal platform prep on steep slopes and ridges and it weighs just (2.78 kg). A roomy, hooped front vestibule maximizes critical interior space and a large rear window keeps weight down without compromising the excellent cross-ventilation that’s mandatory in a tent of this size.

The Fury is a bombproof 2-man tent suitable for brutal winter conditions. One of the strongest and lightest four-season expedition tents available. Incredibly strong 3-pole design with 4 cross points withstands strong winds and heavy snow loads. Large hooped vestibule provides ample gear storage and cooking space. High and low venting for superior airflow, internal pockets to keep gear organised, adjustable stake loops can be opened wide enough for skis, narrow footprint allows pitching on smaller ledges.

  • Super-strong: Advanced geometry and reinforced guy-out points provide security in the worst conditions.
  • New Pole Clips: Stronger and easier to set up in winds, color-coded clips work with window and fly vents to add ventilation between rain fly and canopy.
  • Gear Storage: Large hooped vestibule allows for maximum usability and gear storage.
  • Superior Ventilation: Large, rear mesh window and dual-zip front door provide excellent cross ventilation.
  • Additional Features: DuraShield™-coated fabrics and taped bathtub floor, large vestibule, four internal pockets, multiple reflective guy points, small footprint for tight spaces.

The new Fury is a new color and uses a different fly material which makes it lighter than the previous year's model. The fly material is now 40d (vs 75d previously). The 40d fabric is lighter but more "coat-able" thus more weather proof. Another fly change is that MSR now uses PU for the outside coating and silicone on the inside. The waterproof, uretech, fly door zips are a great weather proof, livability, improvement. All tent poles now have one end that is rounded. This is to help with the durability and ease of set up on the Fast Feed Pole System.

    About MSR Tents:

At MSR, the driving principle behind all our tent designs is livability. As in two-person tents that truly accommodate two people, thoughtfully designed entrances, and vestibules generous enough for food prep or gear storage. But livability is only part of the story. That's why we've made sure our Fast & Light® tents are also incredibly lightweight, our Venture™ tents are super-versatile, and our Expedition™ tents are totally bombproof. Regardless of the series, we research, engineer, and evaluate every element, spending countless hours crawling in and out of tents at test facilities and in the field. The result? The most spacious, reliable structures in the world—whether you're hunkered down atop the Himalayas or camped beside a low alpine lake—with livability at the highest level
