EPE's premier Rucksack. The Le Perouse is exceptionally lightweight for full Nylon rucksack with an alloy TTS harness and and No.10 chunky YKK zippers.
Differs from many other packs as it has a lockable front zippered daypack compartment for easy and accesable storage of valuable small gear. Most rucksacks have streamlined fronts with no other pockets besides your main top lodaing compartment, so this pack fills that void and suits frequent stopping or easy access to some pocket accessories.
After 25 years of designing technical hiking and travel packs, EPE has developed the BackCare™ range of backpacks. This range has been designed by experts to distribute the load correctly across the back and waist, which is turn places less strain on the shoulders and spine.
This pack is part of the high performance specialist BackCare™ range and endorsed by COCA, the Chiropractic and Osteopathic College of Australasia (see more about BackCare™ at bottom).

Diagonal side and bottom compression straps and a streamlined shape make for a high performance rucksack. Large lower shoe compartment and hood pocket give plenty of storage.
The TTS harness is an ergonomically designed, fully adjustable and supported load carrying system. It's advanced construction distributes the load onto the hips of the wearer, placing less strain on the shoulders and spine. Internal pre-shaped alloy stays give extra support and allow a closer fitting harness. The TTS has Explore Planet Earth's ™ unique split waist belt allowing superior adjustment and flexibility for male and female wearers.

All Explore Planet Earth ™ Rucksacks have a top loading main compartment, with a drawstring throat, pick and equipment tie down points, a built in rain cover, are hydration system compatible and have side and bottom compression straps, adjustable hood, rain cover, Duraflex buckles, built in whistle, hiking pole attachment, Large main compartment, Internal divider, Top compartment pocket, Hood pocket, and comes with EPE life warranty.

About BackCare:

Approximately 80% of us will experience pain or stiffness in the lower back sometime in our lives. There are many reasons why this may occur but having a poorly designed, packed or fitted backpack can lead to real problems.
Back in 2004 EPE started working with COCA, the Chiropractic and Osteopathic College of Australasia, to develop a better backpack harness that can take the load and support the spine better for long periods and hiking.
After more than 12 months of development the SAS Academic ® was created and is now being used on selected high performance packs from EPE. We are proud to launch BackCare™, our trust mark that guarantees any pack that carries the logo has been evaluated and endorsed by COCA.
About COCA:
