"Why It RulesThe first effort from a scrappy New England startup, the Jetboil represents a total rethink of backcountry cookery. A tall pot with a hard anodized cooking surface and insulating neoprene cozy docks (and locks) to the stove's burner. A ring of heat-conducting baffles attached to the pot's base channels the flame precisely where it's needed. The result: a furious heat. Yank this combo out of your pack, flick the bomber piezo igniter, and a hypothermic comrade can have a cup of lip-scalding tea in one minute. The neoprene cozy, with handle, stays cool enough to hold in the hand: Bye-bye, additional cookware, pot holders, and needless extra weight"
It all started in 2001 with a simple but powerful idea. Frustrated with heavy vacuum bottles and clunky stoves, Jetboil founders Dwight Aspinwall and Perry Dowst set out to make outdoor cooking easier. They discovered that the secret to a fast and friendly design lies in increasing heat transfer efficiency. Alternating between lab and mountains, a series of designs were subjected to intense experimental and field testing. The result is a series of products as reliable as they are remarkable; as usable as they are unique.
FANTASTIC PRODUCTBy: Jamie Menzies on 6 September 2019I have previously had cheaper stoves but nothing compares to the JetBoil. Well thought out design from the stand that holds the gas, burner and mug attachments. I can fill my coffee cup twice. Easy to setup and packup and will boil the full mug in about 2-3 mins. Worth the money and exceptionally happy with the JetBoil.
Jetboil ZipBy: Janine on 28 January 2019We took this camping and used it to cook noodles and boil water for coffee/tea. It was easy to use and fast to boil. We got 2 cups out of each boil and one gas canister lasted two days for a family of four. Very happy with it.

Product modificationBy: tami mills on 16 September 2017Although this product is great for boiling water the issues with cooking ir heating food without modifications needs some thought. I'm thinking of a silicon insert with little legs that raises the food off the intense heat and an ability to reduce the heat intensity may improve the versatility off thus cooker. At present I have to take take two cookers with different type canisters.
Extras used to be standardBy: Steve on 13 August 2017The pot trivet and canister legs were originally included in the price. What's all this optional extra crap? No longer value for money. Jetboil is good at boiling, but you cannot cook with it due to flame intensity.
