More than just a knife, more than just a fire starter.
A colorful outdoor knife with Swedish FireSteel® fire starter. The Swedish FireKnife is a collaboration between Light My Fire and Mora of Sweden, and we could hardly have picked a better partner. Mora has made top-notch knives for 120 years.
But this is more than just an extremely sharp, flexible and sturdy all-around knife: the handle contains a fire starter. In other words, you can gut and clean a fish, split kindling and light a campfire with one single handy tool.

In 1995 our founder, Michael Odqvist, came across an age-old secret - MayaSticks. He was fascinated by the sheer brilliance of this resinous kindling. Not only was it a quick, easy and reliable way to get a fire going, the sticks were also completely natural, produced from waste - the stumps left from felled pine trees - by locals in Guatemala. By starting fair trade production on a larger scale, Michael helped 400 of these descendents of Maya Indians make more money so that they were able to start sending their children to school. A year later the fire-starters were launched in Sweden. Based in Sweden, Light My Fire specializes in outdoor accessories that are as practical in the city as they are in the wild. From making fires to eating meals - our products have been taken to heart all over the world by both the backyard and the backwoods survivalist
Light My Fire Swedish Firestarter Knife - GreenBy: Sharon Papadopoulos on 9 October 2017This knife is sharp, right out of the box. I already have a Mora Companion, which I usually take on all my hikes. The Light my Fire is a smaller version, with the added bonus of a fire-steel built into the handle. This has now become my 'go to' knife for hikes, as it's smaller, lighter, and has the added bonus of the fire-steel, so serves multiple purposes. I recommend this knife, if you're looking for an all rounder that's easy to carry.
