Pole Supported Technology
NEMO is continually developing new pole technology to optimize our tents' strength, wind resistance, interior volume, weight, and ease of setup. Innovation of pole supported tents goes beyond the poles themselves. We carefully develop every design feature and piece of hardware with the customer experience in mind.
Advanced material development and testing is a mainstay at NEMO. We pride ourselves on staying ahead of the curve by exploring other industries and collaborating with partners to develop custom textiles. We have the utmost confidence in the materials chosen for our tents. NEMO fabrics undergo rigorous testing to ensure that weight, performance, and durability are optimal for a given application.

ExcellentBy: Jimmy on 29 April 2019I have given this tent a full workout before posting this review. It has been used in summer, winter, and everything in between. I have taken it to Alpine areas, mountain sides, grasslands, sand camping and can say it is one of the best tents I have used. I previously had a MSR Hubba and although I can vouch for that tent too, this tent manages to top that. The main benefit over the MSR tent is that the clearance between the fly and the tent is greater and thus provides significantly better protection from condensation and also rain. I never had an issue with the MSR Hubba but the Nemo is much more forgiving in the rain. The other benefit of the MSR is that it is lighter - but unless you are a weight weenie it isn’t a significant difference. The set up and pack down is very similar to the MSR Hubba design. I give it particular credit for standing up in close to freezing conditions, in torrential rain and 60kmh wind - all in the same night. I was dry inside and the tent held firm. The following night - it stood up to winds clocked at 102kmh with light rain. Although the tent fly was wildly moving due to the wind, nothing broke - tent poles were fine - no rips in the tent. Can’t ask for too much more in essentially cyclonic conditions! If you want a comparison - there was a MSR Hubba pitched right next to us that particularly night and the tent fly blew off. I have no hesitation recommending this for serious hikers who want a strong, durable, ultralight option. It is excellent and should last. I note that I use mine with groundsheet (which needs to be purchased separately).
Awesome lightweight tentBy: Dan on 6 December 2018This is an awesome tent. It is super easy to put up, the pole system is all interlinked and simple clicks into the four corners of the tent and took about 5 minutes to pitch. It's free standing which is also great, twin doors and vestibules makes access easy and plenty of usable room on the inside.
Nemo Dagger 2P UL tentBy: Lucy on 14 July 2018Great tent, really spacious and good height (for an UL tent). Love the two doors and large vestibules as all my stuff can easily fit under.
REVIEW NEMO DAGGER 2P ULTRALIGHT HIKING TENTBy: Julian L on 4 July 2018I gave my Nemo Dagger 2P tent 5 stars for durability (in the other metrics too) since I am comparing it to other light/ultra-lightweight hiking tents I have used, not compared to mil-spec tents (which I also use). This tent is very well made and is luxurious considering the weight. All the reviews were spot on when discussing the ease of use and usable space. I use this tent solo and have all my gear inside with me; enough gear for a week. Anything I don't want inside the tent but still need to keep dry, like muddy boots, dry wood/kindling and cooking gear, can stay in the very large vestibule areas (there are two of equal size). There isn't anything I dislike about this tent; it's built for a purpose and it fulfills that draft perfectly. One of the best ways to use this tent, which I haven't used due to the season I purchased it in (winter), is without the rain-fly under the stars in clear weather. The flyscreen (no-see-um mesh) material covers the entire upper surface giving unobstructed views of the sky without the concern of mozzies and other insects that bite/sting/annoy you. The high-sided floor and near vertical walls give so much space you never touch the sides (mosquitoes can easily bite through mesh if you are leaning against it). The DAC ultra-light frame poles are extremely well built and incredibly strong and light. They are also very easy to construct due to precision fit and being shock-corded together as one pole. No chance losing one part as they are all attached! Brilliant! Even the stuff sack has great design. The poles are the longest part of the trail kit, but if you separate the poles from the tent, you can tie off the contents on the lower of two tie-offs. That makes pack storage more versatile by maybe attaching the poles to the outside of your pack or even sharing the load if you are hiking with another person. Not that weight is really a concern at 1.7kg complete... Overall, this is the best freestanding, double walled tent for hiking I own. It is affordable, lightweight, well designed and packs extremely well. I have usually hiked with a tarp and bivvi, but this tent weighs the same as my previous system and has many advantages (security, weather, 2 person suitability, etc). HIGHLY recommended, just check all the reviews!
