The Traveller has been sized as a comfortable solo sleeping bag and as a quilt large enough to share when unzipped. It weighs very little and packs down small, leaving plenty of room in the rucksack, or to be left in the back of the car for unplanned bivys.
Filled with 750+ loft ULTRA-DRY Down™, it has been optimised as a summer outdoor bag, a year round indoor bag, or as a liner over a bed or another sleeping bag. The fully opening zip can be used to zip to another Traveller for times when you’re not travelling alone. The Large size will comfortably fit two people when used as a blanket.
The Traveller is an incredibly versatile sleeping bag.
Tapered rectangular sleeping bags
The Traveller has been cut with a slight taper to save weight and bulk without adversely affecting the usable duvet area. The full length side zip allows the Traveller to be opened out into a full duvet for use indoors and warmer weather. The shoulder and foot draw-cords cinch the bag around you to retain heat.
The shell is reversible and can be used with either the Charcoal or Ocean colour on the outside.

Excellent sleeping bag at a great priceBy: Babak on 27 May 2019This is an excellent sleeping. The quality if great, and is very light and compact. It is also very comfortable. The price at WildEarth is unbeatable! I ended up buying all the equipment my wife and I need for hiking trip from WildEalth, thanks for the great product and fast delivery.
Used in way too cold weather and it actually workeBy: John Hogan on 15 March 2018Hi, this is my second ever down bag, see my review on the STS Base Camp 2 if interested :-) After seeing the benefits of that warm bag I decided to look out for lighter but still large ones for 3 season hiking in Australia. These came on good special and I grabbed one. It's very light and quite thin but warms up quickly against the skin. I tried it several times on a bed with cold airconditioning (14 degrees maybe) with no liner and it was more than fine. Roomy. Took it to Tasmania for the Overland Track in December 2017. Used STS Comfort Plus mattress, uninsulated, in a 3 season tent. It wasn't enough and I should have known. Still, with layered clothes, socks, gloves and beanie, cotton liner and putting goretex clothing under and over, I was warm! Sleet didn't melt off the tent until after noon so it must have been below freezing. This is not the designed temp range and it still got me out of trouble. Do not do this! This is a +10 degree C bag, and I doubt it's ever appropriate for the overland track lol. I learned the lesson. With a liner etc, I expect it's fine for QLD winter. A colder sleeper might want a thermo liner. 4 stars all round. Durability, thin materials but no issues. Value, better than the Base Camp I thought. Design, very suitable, opens to make a 2m x 2m blanket - would fit nicely into a queen cover. Falls off you easily if used as a quilt - it's so light. No issues with the zipper but the draw cord comes undone too easily when you are moving your feet around. I knotted the string with a bow-tie knot. Compresses very small - impressively. I came today to review both of these bags because of how well they have performed... better than expected and no significant issues. Enough said.
Sea to Summit Traveller TR-1 ReviewBy: David McGregor on 5 February 2018My wife bought one of these two years ago. In that time, it's been around the world, been on multi-day walks including the Camino de Santiago in Spain, kept her warm on overnight bus, train and plane rides, been car-camping all over Victoria, and generally been awesome! I've decided it's time I got one myself. Lightest and most compact sleeping bag ever!
Great value, perfect for travellers and Camino waBy: Francoise de Xambe on 12 December 2015I received two of these sleeping bags this week, and I am most impressed with what I found in the box Each bag comes in a storage Sea to Summit packing cell (useful to store travelling clothes later on!). In addition, you get a large cotton bag for laundering, and a compression bag to make your sleeping bags ultra-compact in your backpack or suitcase. For the price, I didn't expect to find all these quality add-ons. These sleeping bags feel super light, and yet warm - perfect for Camino de Santiago walkers. I haven’t been able to check how much static electricity will be created by the contact of the sleeping bags nylon cover and my inner silk sheet. That could be a problem. Perhaps it is too early to rate these bags for "durability", but the 5 stars are a reflexion of the quality of all the Sea to Summit gear bought over the years. I am confident that these bags are going to survive many trips. Finally, thank you Wildearth and Australia Post as the bags arrived at our door in less than 48h.
Sea to Summit Traveller TR1 Ultralight Goose DownAnonymous 14 February 2015I hate being cold so I'm about to try this bag whilst travelling and camping during the UK/Europe/middle east summer. Once I fluffed up the down, the bag lofted to an impressive size. I'm surprised with the weight as at is quite light and ideal for travelling. A hood would be nice but then again, it's a budget & lightweight bag.
