Updated from the original Beta one of our most popular tents the Beta XL offers spacious sleeping space combined with the largest porch area in this size of tent - hands down!. Ideal for slightly longer trips or those looking for a more spacious and comfortable weekend tent. As with most Vango tents it can be pitched as one or flysheet first.
The Beta tent has a very high water rating and a 10,000mm floor. This versatile tunnel design features a huge porch area with double entrance, which can be used for gear storage, bikes and provisions. The higher central pole makes the porch area spacious enough to be also used as living space if the weather dictates that being inside is better than out.
Vango Beta tents continue their reputation as being the 'go-to' tunnel tent for seasoned campers and novices alike. Perfect for 2 to 3 season camping these Vango tunnel tents have external poles for flysheet first pitching - which means you can use the outer only for a lighter weight option and very easy to pitch.
The living/porch area is large enough to use as a quick living space, bike or gear storage (10 crates of beer?) with two entrances.
Within the flysheet are air vents and 'crystal clear' windows with internal covers for privacy. The Powerflex fibreglass poles are colour coded for easy identification. Comes complete with zip entry handled carry bag, reflective external webbing, reflective external zip pullers and 'O' ring guy lines to help reduce the number of individual guy lines required.
Will also suit hikers in small groups

Vango Beta 350XL 3 Person Adventure TentBy: Jeni Bylsma on 15 January 2019We bought this tent for a week long road trip where e would need to pitch a tent quickly for overnight stops. Takes less than 15 minutes to get it up and it’s really easy to do. The pole system uses an internal bungee cord so collapsing the poles for storage takes seconds. The inner tent is cosy and warm, but cool in the heat, and the drop in vestibule flooring is a brilliant idea. The storage bag is big and roomy, so no struggle to pack it away when you’re done. We’ve had many tents over the years, but I think this has to be one of the best, if not THE best tent we’ve ever had - and we’ve had huge heavy canvas things right down to tiny pod tents, so we’ve sampled a good range. The only caution - be careful how you feed those poles through the fabric channels. If you pull the pole at all it will disconnect inside the channel and could tear it. Putting this tent up is definitely easier with 2 people. 5 STARS!
By: janine on 23 October 2018I have not yet used the tent - only set it up to check it out. Tent appears to be well made and well thought out. My one complaint would be what appears to be lack of ventilation in the sleeping area. That area was uncomfortably hot on a 25-degree Celsius day only 20 minutes after being set up. You wouldn't be taking a rest in there during the day. I am hoping nights will be better. The vestibule area, with the floor hooked on, is a good area for extra bags or for sitting out of the sun. However, be aware only one side door has mesh to keep the insects out of this area.
Vango Beta 350XL 3-Person Adventure Tunnel TentBy: Stephen Yam on 18 October 2017I was looking for a good quality tent that would allow me some space when I go away on major Scout camps, and on-line, this tent seemed perfect. However it was not to be. My first use a few days after it arrived was a major statewide Cub Scout Camp for Tasmania, where I was a Sub-Camp Chief. (1) The elastic rope for one of the three poles broke. I had to duct-tape the pole. (2) The vestibule area looked sealed in the on-line picture, but it wasn't. The floor had hooks to attach to the outer fly, and insects can get in. (3) The zip for the outer fly got caught many times on the lip for the insect fly zipper. (4) Most other tents I used have two zips for openings, so you can zip open or shut either way. This tent only had the one zip for openings. Again, this was not well described on-line. I am not at all happy with the design and durability of the tent, and I will be asking for a full refund and cost to cover freight to return the product.
