NEED A HIKING SLEEPING BAG TO KEEP YOU WARM?

Ultralight sleeping bags are perfect for hiking trips or outdoor adventures, but how can you make sure your compact sleeping bag will keep you warm once nighttime rolls around?

The ‘EN rating’ measures a hiking sleeping bag’s performance based on three key temperatures:

  • A ‘comfort’ limit - Lowest outside temperature at which a standard woman can sleep comfortably
  • A ‘lower’ limit - Lowest outside temperature at which a standard man can sleep comfortably
  • An ‘extreme rating’ - Survival only rating for a standard adult woman

Always select your hiking sleeping bag based on the coldest temperature you expect to encounter.
