Choosing the right duffel bag for you
Materials - If you’re hiking to a wet or humid place, look for a waterproof duffel bag made of polyeurethane. Heading somewhere rough where your luggage might take a battering? Ballistic nylon and TPE fabric laminate offer the most durability in rugged conditions.
Capacity - Choosing the right size duffel bag for your adventure is a must if want to avoid carrying around the extra belongings that spill out of your bag. For long trips or trips where you expect to carry bulky gear, such as ski trips, we recommend an extra-large duffel bag that can carry up to 155 litres. Small, compact duffel bags that offer 40 litres of capacity work well for mini trips or summer trips where your gear is likely more lightweight.
Portability - If your adventure involves a lot of walking or crossing uneven terrain, choose a duffel bag that you can easily carry. Look for one that offers multiple handling methods, such as carrying it over the shoulder, grasping it wih your hands, and wearing it like a backpack.
