A 4 in 1 design and weighing 230 grams! Our Tarp-Poncho is a great old idea brought into the 21st century through the use of revolutionary 15D siliconised Cordura nylon.
We now make our all-in-one raincoat/pack cover/groundsheet/tarp with 15D Ultra-Sil Nano fabric we have saved 3 ounces and 30% of the packed size when compared with its 30D Ultra-Sil predecessor. It is ideal for temperate climates or as an emergency shelter.

Sea to summit Ultrasil poncho shelterBy: Jeff on 28 January 2018Great lightweight option for when you dont want to pack your 3x3m sea to summit tarp, and there might be occasional showers. Being ultra sil it does feel kinda flimsy and "OMG its gonna tear!!" But, its very durable..The tiedown points are strong and spaced well to enable use as a extra tarp above your tent to keep the sun or the rain off. As a raincoat you do need something like a spare belt to gather in waist section to stop annoying flapping... My Verdict, Top Quality item, and the weight is negligible. Highly recommended for ultralight walkers seeking a multifunction tarp/ poncho combo.
Sea to Summit multiuser pack cover come tarpBy: Annette on 27 January 2018A compromise design for someone really wanting an efficient, lightweight rain protection when carrying a backpack. Pack-covers still leave all the straps soaking and tend to cause wet spots on shoulders after a time. There must be a market for a lightweight pack-covering poncho but they are pretty well impossible to find.
PonchoBy: Hannah on 9 July 2017Covers my self and my pack well while still providing some ventilation. Still to trial it out in the wild but I think it will do the job nicely. Apparently I look like Teletubby with it on but as long as I am a dry Teletubby I don't care!!

Think before you buyBy: celia on 24 May 2016This is a one-size-fits-all poncho and, as with all one-size-fits-all stuff, is cut to the size of a tall man and not short and slim women of only 160cm height. It is huge for 'short' people and felt cumbersome due to its length and the sheer amount of material. It does fit comfortably over a backpack but does not drape as nicely as a heavier poncho. It is ok on good and wide tracks but not much good where shrubs encroach the track. There is a lot of material that can get caught in branches. I used it in rainy and high wind conditions and it was a most frustrating experience. The wind caught under the poncho blowing it up like a balloon and it was difficult holding all that material together and not letting it blow over my face. Trying to negotiate and scramble up and down wet rocks was hazardous because I kept stepping onto the poncho. Setting up camp in a wet and too large poncho was a pain as the material got in the way and, again, stepping onto it when bending down. The poncho comes factory packed in a small bag which is ok for initial packing but it proved impossible to pack the wet poncho back into the original bag during the hike, i.e. take a larger bag along as well and just stuff it in as best as you can. Even at home, when the poncho was dry, I was unable to fit it back into the original bag. Before spending so much money on this poncho think about the conditions you may be using it in. When wet it feels much different than when trying it dry in the shop. If you think you may encounter rain AND wind, a good rain jacket, gaiters and/or rain pants, and a good pack cover are a better option.
