Our playing fields are often located far from the modern amenities that we take for granted - electricity, telephones, running water, and ready access to professional medical help. Consequently, the need to be self-sufficient in the outdoors is essential, especially during an emergency when assistance from rescue teams may be hours or days away.
Adventure Medical Kits is dedicated to bringing you the most innovative products which will keep you safe in the outdoors. At AMK, our love of the outdoors is matched only by our drive to create products that allow your customers to stay healthy on land, water, and air. We rely on the expertise of world authorities in wilderness medicine and survival techniques to develop and refine our products year after year.
Kept me warm on 3 degree Canberra morning.By: Chris on 15 October 2017I carried the bivvy sack for 3 days of adventure racing at the Wildside Expedition race around ACT, Australia. At 3am at the foothills of the mountains surrounding Canberra (45 hours into race), our team stopped for a sleep. I had my thermal top and bottoms on, climbed into the bivvy and squeezed into a cardboard bike box. Toasty warm for a 45min nap. This is the perfect companion for lightweight emergency shelter. Agree with other review, sack could easily tear if laying direct onto ground.
Neat kitBy: Curtis Jones on 31 May 2016Not as robust as I imagine its bigger cousin is but a neat little shelter-in-a-pinch. Take your boots off before you climb in, don't thrash around in it and definitely have a tarp or something under it if possible, otherwise it will tear. No substitute for a sleeping bag, but if you're fully clothed it'll keep you alive. Tested in the backyard of an evening, slept for a few hours and was happy with it on top of the AML sports utility blanket. Ended up wrapping the blanket around as well for extra warmth. My EDC bag - a Maxpedition Mongo - now has this and the Sports Blanket in it. Weight is nil and it packs down to nothing.
