The Original Tent Cot is Kamp-Rite's innovative, multi-functional advance in off-the-ground camping gear. The fully, self-contained Tent Cot creates a private sleep shelter that stands 11"above the ground to provide comfort and protection from rocks, insects and dampness. The sturdy cot base eliminates the uncomfortable cross bars typically found with standard sleeping cots.
Set up can be done quickly, easily and alone, making it an ideal solution for both solo and group outings. Extremely versatile, the unique hinge design enables the Tent Cot to be converted to a lounge chair for day-time relaxation, or a standard style cot for sleeping under the stars or inside a larger, family-style tent. Two zippered polyester and mesh entry doors allow easy access, while the zippered polyester and mesh openings at each end provide additional air flow in warm weather.
The Original Tent Cot sets up in mere minutes and comes complete with a Kamp-Rite Rain Fly and convenient Carry Bag.

Kamp-Rite Tent Cot, Inc. was founded in 1999 with the goal of producing unique, innovative solutions to common problems associated with many standard forms of camping gear. Armed with only the advice and suggestions of family members who are avid, experienced outdoorsmen, Kamp-Rite forayed into the camping gear market. The result was the œOriginal Tent Cot, an item that combined the comfort of a standard sleeping cot with the protection of a tent. This fully enclosed off-the-ground sleep shelter would become Kamp-Rite's breakthrough product, earning Kamp-Rite the title of World Leader in Off-the-Ground Camping Gear.
Kamp-Rite Original Single Camping Tent CotBy: Bob Elsbury on 26 November 2015This is my second tent cot. The first wore out after extensive use but they suit my style of travel and are great value. I can use it on top of my canopy or on the ground. The other advantage is that it is easily removed if I need to carry building material on the canopy.
Swamp country boat campingBy: Dilligafty 54 on 30 May 2015After 4 1/2 mths living&traveling& hunting from Arkansas to Louisiana gulf coast and back, on a 17 1/2 ft boat, with only a blue poly tarp and my tent/cott . For shelter. Its a Damn fine piece of gear, the support feet could be beefed up. But U-bolting a couple 2x6 will keep it from sinking in muddy ground, Some Times you just gotta get off the boat and sleep on the bank. Even if its muddy. PS. Extra waterproofing spray helped, even with a trap. It ain't for the hikers, but the boat, canoe, horse, car, motorcycle, bike crowd will Love it.
Staying hi and dryAnonymous 8 March 2015I have had swags stretcher bed Hammick just about every imaginable.this keeps me up off the ground when there is a store and water flows underneath me also keeps ants and other creepy crawly out of my bed.The biggest factor is it ease of set up less than 30 seconds. Room enough inside adequate ventilation to prevent moisture build up on the roof.not only that it gives you the availability to set up and use it as a chair.I plan to integrate this into a bicycle trailer and cross Australia with it as well because I feel that this product text all the boxes for me at least anyway.
