Vango Comfort 10cm Grande sleeping matBy: Sim on 7 August 2016I'm using this as my everyday bed at home. I wanted a simple, low cost bed that would have multiple functions. It is comfortable, long (200cm) and wide enough (unlike the 7cm model down) that when lying on my back, my elbows do not touch the cold ground etc. I am 187cm tall, so my feet do just fall of the edge when using a fully size pillow at the top. I can easily transport my bed with me when I leave this house, and due to it being so comfortable, it may double up one day as a spare bed/guest bed in future. Car camping I imagine it'll function pretty well. Durability - I hope to give this 5 stars but I've only had the mat for 14 sleeps! 2 self inflating valves adds value in case one does break. Purchased at $160, as Vango is a UK brand, Wild Earth was the cheapest supplier for this mat in Aus. Often other mats sound quite noisy with rolling over/friction, whereas the top layer on this mat is more quiet and feels less irritable. I prefer hard beds and this mat is living up to being soft enough for comfort (... 10cm is high) yet hard enough that it is to be good for my back. I'm sure you could muck about with deflation if you prefer different. Of all the larger camping mats Wild Earth supplied in store as of mid 2016 when I lay on them, the 7cm and 10cm Vango mats were my strong preference.
Not a review; a story The Vango 10cm GrandeBy: Derek Millar on 6 June 2016Received the mat in the mail and after letting it inflate, I thought I'd see what it is like just to lie on. I took a cushion off a chair and lay down. I woke up an hour later; that's how good it is
