Good footwork starts with shoes that fit your climb, your feet and the way you move. Our climbing shoe range is built for everything from first gym sessions to outdoor crags, with options for bouldering, sport climbing, top-rope routes and longer days on the wall. Choose from comfortable flat profiles for learning technique, or more precise designs that help you trust your feet on small edges, slabs and steeper problems.
Whether you are working through indoor climbs, learning to smear with confidence or chasing a send on real rock, the right pair should feel secure without holding you back. This is Performance Gear for Real Adventures, selected to balance grip, durability, sensitivity and support across different climbing styles.
Not sure where to start? Explore our guide on how to choose the right climbing shoes to find the best fit for your climbing style and goals.
The best climbing shoes for beginners are usually comfortable, durable and slightly structured, with a flatter profile that supports footwork while you build confidence. Look for shoes that feel snug without sharp pain, especially if you are learning on vertical walls, slabs, top-rope climbs or indoor bouldering problems.
Rock climbing shoes should hug the foot with minimal dead space, especially around the heel and toe box. Your toes should touch the end of the shoe, but the fit should not feel numb, crushing or unbearable, as poor fit can make edging, smearing and standing on small footholds much harder.
Neutral or flatter climbing footwear is great for beginners, trad climbing, jamming, slabs and longer sessions where comfort matters. Moderate or aggressive rock climbing footwear focuses more power through the toe, which helps on overhangs, steep bouldering, lead climbing, toe hooks, heel hooks and technical crux moves.
Bouldering shoes are often softer, stickier and more downturned, with extra rubber for toe hooks, heel hooks and powerful moves like dynos or mantling. Indoor-specific shoes usually prioritise sensitivity and grip on volumes, while outdoor crag shoes may need more durability and edging support for rock.
Lace-up shoes offer the most adjustable fit, making them useful for longer routes, trad climbing and all-day comfort. Velcro shoes are quick to take on and off between bouldering attempts, while slippers can feel sensitive and precise but may offer less adjustability for heel hooks and hard pulling.
