ACG stands for All Conditions Gear, and Nike has used the name for its outdoor range since 1989. In 2026 Nike rebuilt ACG around performance again, bringing its trail running shoes under the ACG name alongside the hiking pants, rain shells and packs the label is known for. Wild Earth stocks Nike ACG in men's and women's sizing, with free shipping Australia-wide on most orders and 80 days to return anything, sale items included.
Here's some info on our favourite models to help get you started!
ACG has three trail running shoes and one built for hiking. The choice mostly comes down to how rough the ground is, how fast you want to go, and whether you're running or walking.
Road to trail: Pegasus Trail
If your runs start on the footpath and finish on fire trails, this is the one. It's built on Nike's Pegasus road shoe with a grippier outsole, so it feels at home on both bitumen and gravel. It's the easiest ACG shoe to live with day to day. The trade-off is protection: on loose, rocky singletrack you'll feel more of the ground than you would in the Zegama. Available in men's and women's.
Long days on rough ground: Zegama Trail
The Zegama Trail is the one for mountain runs, long weekends on technical tracks and ultra distances. It has much more foam underfoot than the Pegasus Trail and a Vibram outsole, and it's built tougher than the older Zegama 2 it replaces. That extra shoe makes it heavier, so if you mostly run short, fast loops it can feel like more than you need. Available in men's and women's.
Racing: Ultrafly Trail
The Ultrafly Trail is ACG's race shoe, with a carbon plate in the midsole for a snappier, more propulsive ride. It's built for race day and fast long runs, not for every run of the week. Most people will get more out of a Pegasus Trail or Zegama Trail as their main shoe and save the Ultrafly for when it counts.
Hiking: Zegama Hike
The Zegama Hike takes the Zegama Trail running shoe and reworks it for hiking, so you get the same cushioned ride with a build aimed at long days on your feet rather than speed. It suits day walks and lighter overnight trips. If you're carrying a heavy pack over broken ground, a pair of Hiking Boots will give your ankles more support. Available in men's and women's.
Wet weather: the GORE-TEX versions
Both the Zegama Trail and the Pegasus Trail come in a GORE-TEX version, in men's and women's. The waterproof lining keeps puddles, dew-soaked grass and creek splashes out. It also keeps heat in, so for summer running in Queensland most people are happier in the standard mesh version and save GORE-TEX for winter, alpine trips or overseas running.
In short: Pegasus Trail if you mix road and trail, Zegama Trail for long or rough days, Ultrafly Trail for racing, Zegama Hike for walking, and GORE-TEX if your runs are usually wet.
ACG pants split by weather: sun and dry trails, or rain.
Hiking and travel: Dolomiti
The Dolomiti is the pant most people come to ACG for. It's a light, water-repellent nylon with UV protection, a loose cut, bungees at the hem to pull the legs in, and an elastic waist with a belt. It works for walking, travel and warm-weather days where you want your legs covered from sun and scratchy scrub. Water-repellent means it sheds a shower, not a downpour. Available in men's and women's.
Rain: Misery Ridge GORE-TEX Pants
For proper rain, the Misery Ridge Storm-FIT ADV GORE-TEX Pants are fully waterproof and pair with the matching jacket below. Most people carry them rather than wear them, pulling them on over hiking pants when the weather turns. Available in men's and women's.
In short: Dolomiti for walking in the dry, Misery Ridge for rain.
The ACG bag range covers everyday carry, weekends away and trail running, plus a few small pieces for keeping the essentials on you.
Day to day: DAYMAX Backpack
A 25L pack with a large main compartment, front and side pockets, a laptop sleeve and a storm flap over the top. It's the pick for commuting, travel days and easy day walks. It's not a hiking pack with a load-bearing hip belt, so for longer walks with water and layers you're better off with one of our Daypacks.
Weekends away: Gear Tote Bag and Stuff Sack 3-Pack
The Gear Tote Bag is a big 55L open carry-all for the beach, the car or a weekend away. Pair it with the Stuff Sack 3-Pack to keep clothes, wet gear and bits sorted inside. If you want something that zips shut and handles airports, compare our full range of Duffel Bags.
Running: Goat Pack Vest 5L and Goat Belt
For trail running, the Goat Pack Vest 5L carries water, a layer and snacks on longer runs, and the Goat Belt is the lighter option for a phone, keys and a gel. Both are sized, so check the measurements before you order.
Keeping the essentials on you: Ultralight Phone Sling and Wallets
The Ultralight Phone Sling carries your phone and a card across your body, so they're out of your pockets on walks and travel days. The Ultralight Pouch Wallet and Ultralight Fold Wallet are small, light options for cards and cash. Climbers will also find the ACG Chalk Bag in the range.
In short: DAYMAX for every day, Gear Tote for weekends, Goat for running, Phone Sling for the small stuff.
There are two caps, and the choice is mostly whether you'll be running in it.
Running: Fly Unstructured Cap
Light and soft-crowned, this is the cap for running and hot, sweaty walks. It packs flat into a pocket.
Every day: Club Unstructured Cap
The everyday ACG cap, with a soft crown that sits lower and more relaxed than a structured cap.
Both come in sizes rather than one-size-fits-all, so check the measurements. For the cooler months there's the Dri-FIT Knit Beanie and matching Dri-FIT Knit Gloves.
There are a lot of ACG jackets, each built for a different job. The main question is whether you need to stay dry, stay warm, or just keep the wind and sun off.
Staying dry: Misery Ridge Storm-FIT ADV GORE-TEX Jacket
The Misery Ridge GORE-TEX Jacket is the fully waterproof shell of the range, with a GORE-TEX membrane, a hood with a peak, a full-length zip and zipped hand pockets. It's cut roomy so it fits over a base layer and a warm mid layer. This is the one for hiking in genuine rain and for snow trips here and overseas. Available in men's and women's.
Staying warm: Lava Loft and Lava Flow
The Lava Loft Therma-FIT Jacket is the insulated jacket in the range, for cold mornings, camp and winter travel. The Lava Flow Therma-FIT ADV Ultralight Hooded Jacket is the lighter, more packable take for active use. Both are available in men's and women's. For warmth through the core without sleeves, there's the Rope de Dope Therma-FIT ADV Vest, in men's and women's.
Sun and wind: Aireez UV Jacket
The Aireez UV Protection Jacket is a light cover-up for exposed tracks and hot days, when you want your arms covered but don't need a rain shell.
In short: Misery Ridge GORE-TEX for rain, Lava Loft for warmth, Aireez for sun.
A mid layer goes between your T-shirt and your shell, and the choice is mostly about how warm you want it.
Warmest: Wolf Grid Therma-FIT 1/2-Zip Top
The Wolf Grid is the warmest mid layer in the ACG range, and the half zip lets you dump heat on a climb. Available in men's and women's.
Lighter, for running: Dri-FIT Mid-Layer 1/4-Zip
A thinner quarter zip for cool-morning trail runs, when you want a bit of warmth that won't have you overheating ten minutes in.
Clothing: Jackets, Vests, Pants, Thermals, Beanies, Socks
Footwear: Trail Running Shoes, Hiking Shoes, Hiking Boots
Bags: Daypacks, Duffel Bags

What size Nike ACG shoe should I buy?
Nike ACG shoes are sized in US sizes, with separate men's and women's sizing. If you already wear Nike running shoes, start with the same size. If you're between sizes or wear thick hiking socks, go up half a size.
How do Nike ACG clothes fit?
A lot of ACG clothing is cut loose on purpose: the Dolomiti pants and the Misery Ridge GORE-TEX Jacket are both designed to leave room for layers. Running tops, shorts and tights are cut closer to the body. Check the fit notes on each product page, and if you're unsure, order your usual size. Returns are easy.
What warranty does Nike ACG have in Australia?
Nike covers its products against faults in materials and workmanship, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply no matter what. If something fails, contact us with your order number and a photo and we'll handle the claim for you. Normal wear, like worn-down tread, isn't covered.
What's the difference between the Zegama Trail and the Zegama Hike?
The Zegama Trail is a trail running shoe. The Zegama Hike is built from it but reworked for walking, with a build aimed at long days on your feet rather than running speed. If you'll mostly run, get the Trail. If you'll mostly walk, get the Hike.
Which Nike ACG shoes are waterproof?
The GORE-TEX versions of the Zegama Trail and the Pegasus Trail, in men's and women's. The standard versions, the Ultrafly Trail and the Zegama Hike are breathable and aren't waterproof.
Is the Nike ACG Pegasus Trail good on the road?
Yes. It's the most road-friendly shoe in the ACG range, built on Nike's Pegasus road shoe. It's a good choice if your runs mix footpath and trail. For mostly rough, rocky trails, the Zegama Trail gives you more protection.
