About the authors:
John and Lyn rank among Australia's most experienced bushwalking writers! They have been writing and publishing bushwalking books for many years and have turned their passion for conservation, bushwalking and travel into an occupation that allows them to spend months at a time working (walking) in the bush.
They are regular contributors to major outdoor and travel magazines and guidebooks, including Outdoor Australia, Wild and Lonely Planet.
They have also written a wide range of feature stories for outdoor, travel and lifestyle magazines including; Go Camping, On The Road, Caravan & Motorhome, Caravan World, Off-Road Great Escapes, the Heart Wise Journal, Inflight Magazine and Heritage in Trust. They have had articles and photos published in metropolitan and regional newspapers in Queensland, NSW and Victoria as well as in the Washington Post.
Both are active members of the National Parks Association of Queensland and also lead walks for NPAQ.
Adventure Travel
John and Lyn are also experienced Tour Leaders. They regularly organise extended hiking trips throughout Australia, especially in areas where they are researching new guide books or magazine articles.
Over the last few years they have organised and conducted combined walking and adventure trips to exotic destinations in Asia, South America, North America and Europe.
Their next guided international walking and adventure trip (March/April 2009) is to South Africa, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia. This trip is fully subscribed, but another trip focussing on South Africa is being planned for late 2009 or early 2010.
