The DD SuperLight Jungle Hammock is our top-of-the-range camping system that offers everything you need, while weighing just 1.7kg. With a double-layered base, fully detachable mosquito net and additional waterproof layer, the Jungle Hammock is an ideal solution for cyclists, backpackers, or anyone seeking a complete lightweight kit that packs into one small bag!
Fully modular hammock camping system
Both the mosquito net and the extra waterproof layer are detachable, making this our most customisable and versatile hammock model yet! Giving you the best bits of our most popular hammocks in one package, it suits a wide range of activities and really does serve the whole year round. Being breathable and bug-proof it's also the hammock we recommend for tropical or rainforest expeditions.
Add the full-width curved spreader poles and this hammock becomes incredibly spacious. It also comes pre-fitted with our advanced Whoopie Suspension System – a lightweight, knot-free way to suspend and adjust the height of your hammock.
Take the DD Jungle Hammock on a hike or backpacking for a comfortable camping solution on the trail. Bring it with you while mountain biking, to minimise carrying weight. Or, if you don't have an adventure planned just yet, detach the net and use the base for lounging comfortably in the open!
Note: The waterproof layer provided is intended for use as a compact rain cover and does not offer the protection given by a full-size tarp (we recommend the DD SuperLight Tarp). If you need waterproof protection underneath too, additional waterproof layers are available for purchase.

CARE
Storing your DD SuperLight gear
Over time repeated fold lines can start to weaken the fine material of your DD SuperLight gear. To pack away, we always recommend 'stuffing' your DD SuperLight gear into its bag instead.
DD hammock safety
Remove any sharp objects from your person before entering the hammock
Please follow the maximum recommended weight limit
Check all suspension cordage is in good condition before hanging, and ensure any knots are secure before entering the hammock
Do not set up the hammock too low to the ground, and check beneath it for any sharp objects that could come in contact with the material/suspension
Children should be supervised when using this product
DD hammocks are not suitable for children under 3
Ensure the area around the product is kept free of hazards
General care
To preserve the strength of the material, avoid folding along the same lines too frequently (change after 10 times)
Store in a cool, dry, dark place
Always ensure your gear (including any cordage) is completely dry before storing away
Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures (above 40C and below -15C), and keep your gear at least a 2m distance from flames
Do not machine wash. Clean carefully by hand only, using lukewarm water
Prolonged exposure to strong UV light can cause material to weaken (UV degradation is excluded from warranty)

DD jungle hammock
By: Darryl Friar on 29 October 2018Great all round product. You can spend over $1000 for top of the line, one man tent. This is a top of the line hammock that is just a light and at only $300.
DD Hammocks Super Light Jungle Hammock/Bivi
By: Alex Jefferies on 2 August 2018Recently purchased the super light jungle hammock and wasn't disappointed. It's perfect to take stowed in my kayak for long trips down river where I have to take what I need with me. Easy to set up as a hammock and when trees were scarce just as easy to set up as a Bivi on the ground. I'm 6 foot 3 and fit in easily. I'd advise taking six small tent pegs for ground set up though for ease. It weighs next to nothing and all fits in the carry bag easily. Instructions were adequate and the handy tips on there were great as well. As it says in the name its 'super light' , the ground sheet, which can be used as a cover as well, is extremely thin and I haven't had any worries yet but I've taken extra care when putting on the ground underneath when set up as a Bivi. I feel it could've been made of a more durable material as it wouldn't really make that much difference to weight. Overall all its a great buy and the options of this hammock compared to others at equal or greater prices had me wondering why you'd bother buying anything else from DD's range or any other brand. 4 out of 5 stars.
Hammock
By: Tim Hill on 12 February 2018Good hammock with great versatility for sleeping on the ground or as a hammock and can remove layers to cut back weight easily.
Review of DD Hammock
By: Amber on 30 January 2018Lighter than a tent gear and more comfortable. Ants occasionally get in and bite me. Best used in combination with a spotlight tarp.
Tent, swag replacement
By: Sven Lohuis on 9 April 2017This hammock is multifuntional, light and durable. The hammock is easy to setup. The removable mosquito-net makes a quick and easy transformation. The mosquito net is zipped with 2*2 zippers so you can get in and out on both sides. The storage inside is good as well. 2*2 pockets inside the hammock on food and head side make make you store your wallet and phone easy. A inside rope of the Mosquito net with a additional 2compartment pocket gives some storage above you. The hammock Mosquito net comes with two poles that create a 'dome-like' - 'spacy' inside. The additional rain cove is easy to put on and creates a additional protection of wind from the top. The two poles (rounded in shape) are a must have in comparison with other Mosquito-hammocks! and make it suitable as a tent/swag as well :-). The bottom layer of the hammock is (logically) not created for rocky bottom surfaces if you use it as a tent or swag (additional stronger floor layer/tarp is recommended). The hammock is on the bottom double layered. You can put in a (inflatable) mat for isolation. Personaly I recommend the thermo blanked of DD (not sold at WildEarth). For structural use I recommend the hammock sleeve as well! Saves you a lot of time with setting up and packing! https://www.wildearth.com.au/buy/dd-hammock-sleeve-olive-green/DD-97187 Short; multifunctional, durable, light and spacy hammock for all types of use (warm, cold, tropical, rainy, etc.).
