Wild Earth is an Australian-owned outdoor retailer, founded on the Gold Coast in 2004 and now stocking hiking, camping, trail running, climbing, snow and travel gear from brands like Osprey, Patagonia, Arc'teryx, Salomon, Merrell and Sea to Summit. Every review on this page comes from a real, verified order — invitations are sent only to customers who completed a purchase.
Ratings update automatically as new reviews come in.
Wild Earth is rated 4.68 out of 5 from 24,506 product reviews and 4.8 out of 5 from 19,500 reviews of the ordering experience, collected across Trustpilot and Google. Shoppers consistently praise comfort, how light and packable the gear is, and value for money; the recurring complaints are an item running smaller than expected and, in a small number of cases, a refund taking longer than it should.

Comfort is the most discussed thing in Wild Earth's product reviews — 3,573 of them, rated 4.8 out of 5 with 97% at 4 stars or above. Customers describe footwear and packs as comfortable straight out of the box, and blisters or rubbing come up rarely enough to be item-specific.

Quality and durability are raised in 2,632 reviews, rated 4.75 out of 5 with 95% positive. Most describe gear as well made and sturdy; the negative minority is dominated by early failures — a seam, sole or clip going within the first few weeks — rather than gear wearing out over time.

Yes. Wild Earth is an Australian-owned, B Corp certified retailer that has traded since 2004, with stores at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast and at Skygate in Brisbane. It is rated 4.68 out of 5 from 24,506 product reviews and 4.8 out of 5 from 19,500 reviews of the ordering experience. Every review on this page is order-verified: invitations are sent only to customers who completed a purchase, so a review cannot be submitted by someone who never ordered.
Quality and durability are raised in 2,632 product reviews, rated 4.75 out of 5 with 95% positive. Customers describe gear as well made and sturdy. Wild Earth stocks established outdoor brands including Osprey, Patagonia, Arc'teryx, Salomon, Merrell, Hoka, Icebreaker and Sea to Summit, and tests products in real conditions before stocking them.
Sizing and fit are raised in 2,671 product reviews, rated 4.67 out of 5 with 94% positive — the lowest-scoring product topic, though still strong. Most customers call items true to size; where a review is critical it is almost always one specific item running small, and reviewers commonly advise sizing up. Size guides are published per product, and the 80 day returns policy covers sale items too, so an exchange is possible if the fit is wrong.
Value for money is raised in 2,669 product reviews, rated 4.75 out of 5 with 95% positive, and price in the ordering experience rates 4.89 out of 5 across 3,997 reviews. Shipping is free Australia-wide on orders excluding bulky items, and Wild Earth offers price matching, Click & Collect and finance options including Afterpay and zipPay.
Wild Earth accepts returns for 80 days, and unlike most retailers this includes sale items. It is also the one weak spot in the reviews: returns and refunds rate 4.01 out of 5 across 206 reviews, with 73% positive against 95%+ for delivery and customer service. The policy itself is praised; the complaints are about how long a refund took. Returns are handled through the Returns page, and gear can also be brought into either Queensland store.
Delivery is the most discussed part of the ordering experience — 6,281 reviews, rated 4.87 out of 5 with 97% positive. Customers on the east coast routinely report next-day arrival. Shipping is free Australia-wide on orders excluding bulky items, with order tracking and Click & Collect at the Gold Coast and Brisbane stores. Where a review is negative it almost always names the courier rather than Wild Earth.
Durability is covered by the quality topic, which rates 4.75 out of 5 across 2,632 product reviews with 95% positive. Customers describe gear still performing after repeated trips and seasons of use; where it fails it is usually an early fault in the first few weeks rather than gradual wear.
Yes. Great product with quality much higher than expected. Highly recommended.
So good for key organisation I have several now, price is lower than the quality suggests.
They’re Altra. If you’re looking at these shoes you already know the benefits of them. I used to buy the escalante religiously. But as I’m getting on in age and my knees aren’t what they used to be I’ve moved on to the Torin and they are exactly what I want. More cushion for the pushin and a longer life than the escalante as well which suits my current speed and movement.
I haven’t used it yet; I’ll come back to leave a review after I’ve tried it out.
