Review of Suunto Spartan Sport Wrist HRT GPS WatchBy: Vicky McKinnon on 13 September 2017I am really pleased with this watch, firstly the band is not fixed and is flexible (I am petite and only have a small wrist so this is the first watch to fit me). The face is big enough to read everything (even for a 40 something). I've only had it a couple of weeks so I hope the durability is good. I use this watch for everything - trail running, road cycling; mtb cycling; crossfit; gymnastics and the stats seem accurate. I also luv that I can wear this watch to work without it looking too much like a big chunky 'GPS running watch/mini computer'.
Suunto Spartan Wrist HR (GOLD)By: Sarah on 3 September 2017Ok this is a really lovely watch. It looks so great and feels great. It is a very basic watch, by no means a hybrid smartwatch but it does have some nice features like notifications from your phone, unfortunately these cannot be opened on your watch or have interaction and honestly the vibrate is so faint I hardly ever feel it. This tracks my training (cycling, running, weights, hikes, kayaking) very well and I compared the GPS to other devices such as a Gamin Edge 510 on my road bike and they were basically the same in GPS, speed, etc. I can't say if the heart rate monitor is super accurate as I have nothing to compare it with however I noticed if it is too low on my wrist the heart rate recording seems a little high. I really enjoy how basic the watch is without being overly complicated but I have had quite a few issues with it connecting with the Movescount app. The step counter isn't very accurate and I have sat there watching it count steps whilst I watch TV, but as this is not marketed as an activity tracker I'm sure most of us don't buy it in those hopes. That being said, the price does seem quite high for something so basic with not the most advanced features and admittedly better products on the market. The watch looks great though and I am very happy with it.
