What are you waiting for? Here's our awesome September Weekly Winners.Slept overnight in a backcountry hut (which was very old and not exactly good at keeping out wind) surrounded by snow and with howling 30-40 knot gales. Am so glad I had this as my old down sleeping bag wasn’t up to the task. I had two layers on, jumped in the sleeping bag then slid into the bivvy. So bloody glad I had it with me. Super light and easy to use it saved me from a very cold night." Having just completed Kokoda I found the bladder the best money could buy as the bladder unclips from the drinking hose, the bladder has a wide fill port which is ideal when filling from streams [and a water purification tablet] I saw many other brand with screw on fill ports and non removable hose, they were atrocious to fill and add electrolyte powder. Take it from me don't waste your money on cheap screw cap types OSPREY ALL THE WAY..............." I love this bottle. I took it on an overnight hike this weekend. Best features: 1. it has a huge mouth, to make filling really quick and easy 2. the lid feels really secure and reliable but it is also really simple to get on and off, 3. it took up virtually no space when it was empty and 4. the handle also made it really comfy to carry it while walking along. The Only problem is just a necessary thing for a soft-bottle, you need two hands to hold it while drinking from it, which you wouldn't with a rigid bottle. But that's not the point of a soft bottle, and the compromise is totally worth it to easily carry an extra 2L of water. Love it." Love the Escalante? Then these are your new trail shoes - First two runs, they feel like the Escalante 1.5 underneath, but with more control in the upper. The escalante is more like a sock upper, whereas this is importantly a stronger, firmer shoe for trail. Super light, traction could be improved slightly as I found myself slipping when climbing steep, loose hills, but as a faster, shorter length racing shoe, these are the best. Have not had them long, so I made up the "4" rating for durability. No support in the arch, but that is what is expected for a light weight Altra designed for shorter distance, light runners with strong feet."
